Terms & Conditions of Service

These terms govern your admission, enrollment, subscriptions, bookshop purchases, digital library access, and use of the SPECS digital platform.

Effective Date: November 01, 2026•Version: 3.0 (Operational)•Jurisdiction: Republic of Kenya

1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

By registering an account, completing program admission, subscribing to services, purchasing publications, or accessing the website and digital portals of SPECS Motivational & Mentorship Hub ("SMMH"), you agree to be bound legally by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), together with our Privacy Policy and applicable service schedules.

If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of a family, company, educational institution, or public office, you represent that you possess legal authority to bind that entity. If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, you must not access or utilize the services of SPECS.

2. Structural Independence of Services & Programs

SPECS operates multiple independent service divisions. Under Section 2, Section 4, and Section 23 of our company profile, these services maintain distinct content structures, access entitlements, reporting procedures, and fee schedules:

A. The SMMH Program:The formal structured motivation and mentorship curriculum consisting of modular packages, program levels, mode-based access, and completion certificates.
B. The Daily Living Help Program:A separate, recurring monthly spiritual enrichment and personal development subscription with universal access across all 12 Fundamental Units.
C. The Digital Library & Bookshop:Independent repositories for reading reference materials and commercial publication sales respectively.
D. Events & Custom Facilitation:Public conferences and tailored B2B/B2G retreat engagements planned on separate negotiated terms.
Cross-Access Disclaimer: Participation or payment in one service does not automatically grant admission, subscription privileges, or materials for another. Daily Living Help materials are distinct from the SMMH Program curriculum.

3. SMMH Program Curriculum, Packages & Levels

Participation in the SMMH Program is structured around the 12 SPECS Fundamental Units. When enrolling, participants choose a package and a program depth level:

  • Package Selection (Breadth): Package 1 (3 Units); Package 2 (6 Units); Package 3 (9 Units); Package 4 (All 12 Units). The package fee covers the selected number of units and is not charged separately per unit.
  • Program Level Selection (Depth):
    • Unit Level: 4 Subjects per unit (2 Motivational, 2 Mentorship) = 48 classes per Fundamental Unit.
    • Module Level: 12 Subjects per unit (6 Motivational, 6 Mentorship) = 144 classes per Fundamental Unit.
    • Full Program Level: 36 Subjects per unit (18 Motivational, 18 Mentorship) = 432 classes per Fundamental Unit.
  • Class Architecture: Each subject contains 12 classes incorporating instructional principles, reflection prompts, and mentorship counsels.
  • Completion Certificates: Certificates are awarded upon verified completion of the required classes and reflection submissions for a Unit, Module, or Full Program level. Certificates are issued exclusively to individual participants, never to an entity.

4. Delivery Modes & Platform Access Restrictions

Access to learning materials is controlled according to the participant's selected mode of delivery:

Online Mode:Full electronic access to the SPECS Learning Centre, digital classes, multimedia, and digital reflection submissions.
In-Person Mode (Important Limitation):Participants receive physical printed program materials supplied by SPECS. In-Person participants receive access to their My SPECS Dashboard solely for viewing registration records, submitted reflections, and Growth Reports. In-Person participants do not receive access to digital video/audio classes through the Learning Centre. Furthermore, standard In-Person enrollment does not include physical classroom teaching sessions; in-person facilitation requires a custom contract.
Hybrid Mode:Integrated access combining full online Learning Centre privileges with physical study publications.

5. Program Periods, Free Extension Renewals & Upgrades

Program duration is determined strictly by the selected package, regardless of whether a student selects Unit, Module, or Full Program depth:

• Package 1: Standard Period of 1 Month | Extension Renewal: +1 Month per renewal

• Package 2: Standard Period of 3 Months | Extension Renewal: +3 Months per renewal

• Package 3: Standard Period of 9 Months | Extension Renewal: +9 Months per renewal

• Package 4: Standard Period of 12 Months | Extension Renewal: +12 Months per renewal

  • Three Free Extension Renewals: A participant may request an extension of time. The first three approved extension renewals are granted completely free of charge. The maximum extension time available without fees is three times the standard package period.
  • Exceptional Extensions: Any extension beyond the three free renewals requires special approval by SPECS management and payment of the designated administrative fee.
  • Program Level Upgrades: A participant may upgrade to a higher depth level within their active package. 100% of previously completed qualifying coursework and payments are credited. The participant pays only the marginal difference and is never charged full tuition again.

6. SMMH Daily Living Help Subscription Terms

The Daily Living Help Program operates under its own recurring monthly subscription agreement:

  • Universal Monthly Access: Subscribers receive monthly access across all 12 Fundamental Units (12 Motivational Subjects + 12 Mentorship Subjects = 24 accessible classes monthly).
  • Designated Spiritual Literature: Content draws from designated devotional works including The Adventist Home Series, Help in Daily Living Series, and Mind, Character and Personality Series.
  • Exclusively for Individuals: The program is strictly available to individual personal subscribers and does not support group seat administration.
  • Monthly Subscription Fee & Free Transition: Billed at Ksh 3,000 monthly in Kenya and USD $92 internationally. SPECS has committed under executive governance to transition this program to a completely free public service in the future. The fee remains active until a formal management announcement.

7. Personal Growth Reporting, Counseling & 5-Day SLA

Section 4.1, Section 4.2, and Section 27 govern the preparation and delivery of Growth Reports:

  • Participant Duty of Honesty: Participants agree to complete reflection questions candidly. Evaluators formulate counsels based on the disclosures provided.
  • Mandatory Human Authoring: Substantive Personal Growth and Development Reports and personalized counsels are individually authored and approved by authorized SPECS personnel. Automated bot generation is strictly forbidden.
  • Five Working Days Turnaround (SLA): SPECS provides a turnaround period of five working days from the date reflection answers are submitted before reports are published to the user dashboard.
  • Absolute Confidentiality: Reports highlight individual strengths, identify growth areas, and provide actionable counsel. They are confidential personal records accessible only to the student and authorized counseling staff.

8. Group Cohort Enrollments (Max 30 Seats) & Privacy Firewalls

Families, companies, schools, and public offices may register groups of up to 30 members under an administrative coordinator, subject to the following strict conditions:

• Per-Seat Tuition Obligation: The group maximum of 30 refers to seat capacity. It does not constitute a flat fee. Tuition is payable for every enrolled seat based on the package, level, and mode selected for that member.

• Independent Student Accounts: Every group participant is issued an individual admission number, personal My SPECS Dashboard, and independent transcripts.

• Strict Privacy Firewall Against Coordinators: Group coordinators, sponsoring employers, or family heads shall never be granted access to individual members' reflection submissions or confidential Growth Reports. Administrative access is limited to payment verification and aggregate seat status.

9. Digital Library & SPECS Bookshop E-Commerce Terms

Sections 19 and 20 govern reading repositories and commercial bookstore transactions:

  • Digital Library Access: Access to approved digital reference texts is granted subject to active enrollment, active subscription, or public availability. Library texts are licensed for personal viewing and may not be redistributed.
  • SPECS Bookshop Commercial Orders: Purchasing books from the Bookshop is a separate retail transaction. It does not enroll the purchaser into the SMMH Program or Daily Living Help.
  • Dispatch & Delivery of Physical Books: Physical books ordered through the Bookshop are dispatched via verified courier services across Kenya. Delivery fees are calculated during checkout. Risk of loss passes to the purchaser upon courier dispatch.
  • Digital Publication Fulfillment: Digital e-book purchases provide instant access in the customer's account. Digital downloads are non-refundable once accessed.

10. Events & Custom Facilitation Engagements

Registration for public events and customized corporate contracts are subject to specific operational rules:

  • SPECS Self-Organised Events: Event registrations are confirmed upon receipt of applicable advance fees. Event tickets are transferable with prior written notice to SPECS but are non-refundable within 7 days of the scheduled event date.
  • Custom Program Proposals: Customized programs planned for companies, schools, or public offices are executed pursuant to a separately approved written proposal defining the tailored scope, dates, venue, facilitator deployment, and contract fees.

11. Tuition Fees, Payment Verification, Currency & Refunds

Section 12, Section 15, and Section 22 establish the financial regulations governing the platform:

• Currency Decoupling: Fees are quoted and billed in Kenya Shillings (Ksh) for Kenyan residents and United States Dollars (USD) for international participants. Conversion rates are published formally by management and remain fixed until officially updated.

• Server-Side Payment Verification: Entitlements, admission numbers, and digital classes are activated exclusively upon server-side confirmation via Safaricom M-Pesa Daraja callbacks, authorized card gateway webhooks, or bank reconciliation approval. Browser-side payment claims are never trusted.

• Refund Policy: Due to the immediate delivery of digital curriculum materials, provision of physical literature, and administrative assignment of counselors, program tuition fees and monthly subscriptions are non-refundable once admission is activated or reflection processing has begun.

12. Intellectual Property & Limited License

All intellectual property rights in the SMMH Program, Daily Living Help series, class lectures, curricula, written counsels, digital library works, trade names, logos, and digital platform code belong exclusively to SPECS Motivational & Mentorship Hub and its licensors.

You are granted a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license to view learning materials and download personal Growth Reports for non-commercial individual development. You shall not copy, record, broadcast, re-sell, sublicense, or distribute SPECS curriculum materials without express written authorization from Friday Kinara.

13. Professional Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Mentorship vs Clinical / Legal Practice: SPECS services provide educational, motivational, and lifestyle mentorship across its 12 Fundamental Units. Mentorship counsels do not constitute psychiatric diagnosis, licensed clinical psychotherapy, certified legal representation, or regulated investment advice. Participants experiencing acute psychiatric emergencies or requiring formal legal counsel must engage certified medical practitioners or legal advocates.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted under the Laws of Kenya, SPECS and its officers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your participation or application of mentorship counsels. In any event, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the actual tuition or subscription fee paid by you for the specific service in dispute.

14. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law (Republic of Kenya)

These Terms, your admissions, and all disputes arising from your engagement with SPECS shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the Laws of Kenya.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be referred to mutual amicable negotiation between the participant and SPECS executive management. If unresolvable within 30 days, the matter shall be submitted to final and binding arbitration in Nairobi, Kenya, in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1995 (Laws of Kenya) and the rules of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya Branch).
